 Here's a simplified breakdown of the steps:



Step 1: Solving the Cross (First Layer)

Start by choosing a color to solve first (e.g., white).

Locate and solve the four edge pieces that form a cross on the first layer, matching their colors with the center square of each face.


Step 2: Solving the First Layer Corners

Locate and solve the four corner pieces on the first layer, aligning their colors with the adjacent center squares.


Step 3: Solving the Second Layer

Flip the cube over to solve the second layer.

Locate and solve the four edge pieces on the second layer, aligning their colors with the center squares on the adjacent faces.


Step 4: Solving the Top Layer

Orient the cube with the completed first and second layers facing down.

Solve the remaining four edge pieces on the top layer.

Finally, solve the four corner pieces on the top layer to complete the cube.

2). Fridrich Method (CFOP):



The Fridrich Method, also known as CFOP  is an advanced technique used by speedcubers to solve the Rubik's Cube efficiently. CFOP stands for Cross, F2L (First Two Layers), OLL (Orientation of the Last Layer), and PLL (Permutation of the Last Layer). Here's a brief overview of each step:

Step 1: Cross

Start by solving a cross on one face of the cube, matching the colors of the edge pieces with their adjacent center squares.

Step 2: F2L (First Two Layers)

Pair up and insert the corner-edge pairs on the first two layers simultaneously, maintaining the cross.

Step 3: OLL (Orientation of the Last Layer)

Orient the last layer, ensuring that all the upper face colors match their corresponding side center colors.
There are 57 different OLL algorithms, each designed to address specific patterns.

Step 4: PLL (Permutation of the Last Layer)

Permute the last layer's pieces to solve the entire cube.

There are 21 different PLL algorithms, each used to solve specific cases.

The Fridrich Method requires memorizing a set of algorithms for the OLL and PLL stages, but it allows for faster solve times once mastered. It's commonly used in speedcubing competitions.
